Sparkle by Arin Kambitsis

Review:

Sparkle by Arin Kambitsis is a book about a small town, named Sparkle, in Pennsylvania. It is classified as a cross between J.R.R. Tolkien/C. S. Lewis/J. K. Rowling and Stephen King/Peter Straub/Clive Barker. While I would agree with this assessment, the author definitely lets his own style shine though. The book handles multiple characters over multiple timelines and does so very well. The story of the Bunyine was very well done and included well known stories from Biblical History. The characters were well done, though the dialogue did seem a bit artificial at times. Overall the book was amazing and I hope to be able to read the rest of the series.

*I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
