A Witch’s Beverages and Brews: Magic Potions Made Easy by Patricia J. Telesco

Review of A Witch’s Beverages and Brews: Magic Potions Made Easy by Patricia J. Telesco:

A Witch’s Beverages and Brews: Magic Potions Made Easy by Patricia J. Telesco is an introduction recipe book for anyone interested in brewing their own beverages. This book begins with an introduction to brewing and the history behind it. It then goes over some of the more basic things a brewer would need to know. The recipes themselves make up the last, and larger part of the book. There are also several appendices containing: ingredient magickal associations, symbolism and correpsondaces, and even conversions from Imperial to Metric measurements. The author has grouped the recipes by intention.

The author gives the instructions in simple, easy terms. Those who are more experienced in making their own beverages might find the recipes to be inspiration for their own unique twists. The author states more than once that these recipes are not set in stone and she encourages substitutions. The author did rather well in giving as much information as clearly as possible. While I am not a brewer, I am considering trying my hand at it.
